FSM News West: Free Summer Events in Chicago – Editorial

In the summer of Chicago, there are many free
events that can occupy your time. You can explore your city by just walking
downtown, the zoo, or even the beach. If you prefer riding bikes, you can visit
SoulCycle, where there’s stationary bikes, instructors, and a variety of music. If you’re a stay-at-home person, many surrounding
neighborhoods have parks or even block parties. There are annual events that happen every
year, such as Bud Billiken Parade, kite festivals, and the Taste of Chicago concerts. If the movies are too crowded, from May 29th
to mid-September, there’s Movies In The Park, which are screening at different park districts. If you’re the type of person that loves to
learn, visit the museums such as the Art Institute, which is actually free for children ages 17
and under. Check out online and see if the days are free. Hopefully you guys are considering all these
free amazing events, and have a safe summer.
