DrawingConnections Artwork Exchange Program

DrawingConnections Artwork Exchange Program

[music] I’ve continued drawing in high school and painting in visual arts class, and in most of biology class, and my teachers are always excited to see my drawings. The summer camp has done a lot. because I’ve seen changes, even sometimes when I am painting. My daughter will come and say, “Daddy, can I help you” because I do, at the summer camp with Melody, last year, the mural on the wall. So, I feel really proud about that. Since the summer camp, Dani never usually had drawn before, but since the summer camp, she started drawing. Friends say about my artwork that it is wonderfully done and looking very good and impressive, and that I should further my artwork. Since summer camp when she learned how to mix the colors properly, she’s always asking for paints, paintbrushes and stuff, so it really has helped. I want to become a fashion designer, so I have to draw my sketches. You cannot draw your designs on stick people. So, I’ve been trying my best and draw real people, like 3D, so I can make my designs better. We just hope you continue the program so other kids can get the experience. Continue doing what you are doing. It is really really uplifting because a lot of kids, they get to go out to see the wider community. Maybe parents can’t afford to bring them to these locations and educate the kids every year. It really really helps for them to get the exposure. I hope you guys continue to do what you do because it has helped the children a lot from primary school going on to high school. Thank you again. [music] I liked enjoying listening to other people’s opinion about our art from a different part of the world, and I liked sharing our art amongst each other. I liked being able to connect with other kids, even though they are across the world, it still feels like they are here with us I really enjoyed being able to create art for kids away from us and in a different place, and I also enjoyed seeing how they create art, and how, compared to us, they create art. I just wanted to let you know how much my students have enjoyed watching your student’s videos, and we’re really looking forward to writing letters and responding to them, and I think it’s been a wonderful activity to share. Perhaps in the future, we can exchange letters once or twice through the year, and answer questions back and forth, so all of our students can learn from one another. [music]
